our mission
Sustainability
At Circles & Cycles, sustainability begins in the garden. From building healthy soil to choosing low-waste packaging, every step is guided by care for the land, ecosystems, and the people who use our products.
Skincare that begins with
caring for the earth
Healthy soil is the foundation of everything we grow. Our herbs are cultivated using no-till, organic practices that protect soil life, encourage beneficial microbes, and support thriving ecosystems for pollinators and wildlife.
Our garden is grown using organic and regenerative methods that prioritize biodiversity and ecological balance. By working with nature rather than against it, we grow resilient botanicals while supporting the health of the land.
We work with small manufacturers and suppliers who share our commitment to responsible production, low-waste practices, and environmentally conscious sourcing whenever possible.
Our packaging is selected with sustainability in mind, including curbside recyclable glass & aluminum containers, home compostable lip balm tubes and biodegradable shipping materials. We always aim to reduce unnecessary plastic and minimize waste wherever possible.
Sustainability is an ongoing practice. As Circles & Cycles grows, we continue to learn, adapt, and seek better ways to care for the land, reduce waste, and support healthy ecosystems.
Violet glass helps protect light-sensitive ingredients while being curbside recyclable and reusable. More about violet glass below!
We choose aluminum whenever possible because it is lightweight, durable, and infinitely recyclable.
Unlike many compostable alternatives that can only be composted in industrial facilities (that most folks don't have access to), our tubes are home compostable! They contain no plastic or PLA liners and are made from FSC certified paper, rice wax, and vegetable-based inks.
Natural fibers like silk, hemp, and cotton are renewable, biodegradable materials that avoid the microplastic pollution associated with synthetic textiles.
Orders are packed using recycled, recyclable, and compostable materials to minimize waste and plastic use. Our boxes are printed with algae ink.
From the garden to the lab, we prioritize reusable tools, minimize plastic consumption, and compost or recycle materials whenever possible.
Why are the glass bottles so dark?!
Violet glass, otherwise known as biophotonic glass, possesses unique properties. It protects natural products from the sun’s harmful rays, while allowing beneficial rays though, to enhance the contents of the jar or bottle.
Taste, Smell, Color, Bioenergy & the Natural properties of the product are protected and preserved.
Violet - the royal color representing the harmony of the universe because it is a combination of red and blue (Yin and Yang)
Reusable & Recyclable glass packaging for a plastic-free future. And less "expiration" waste.
